On guns

I've written all I can on guns. Like many issues, everything that is logical, coherent, objective and accurate has been said or written. Those who believe guns are evil and must be banned or, better yet, confiscated will always believe it no matter how much empirical evidence is amassed and presented. Only a personal traumatic experience has a chance a an epiphany. Even then....
When all has been said, proven and done and the facts still don't matter, still don't change minds, still don't forestall anti-Freedom, anti-Liberty, anti-Life legislation, we've arrived at that fork in the road,  that tipping point when past changes America forever. Or, at least until the next Revolution brought about by tyranny.
Assuming the Obama Administration, in concert with Congress, enact the "assault weapons" bill as envisioned by Ms. Feinstein, crunch time will have arrived. Pro, anti, apathetic, the unintended consequences will be visited upon one and all. As other countries and cultures have discovered (too late), crimes committed with guns and without will continue apace, Paradise will not be restored or established. Because there will always be evil, mentally debilitated, uncontrollable elements among us who will find the ways and means to use lethal force against the defenseless. For Ms. Feinstein, the President and Elected Officials, this is not an eventuality. They have their "protection" -- and, ironically, we're paying for it while they work to disarm us.

Not Newtown? Not News.

Did you hear or read about an incident in San Antonio, TX a few days ago? Unless you're a dedicated  News Junkie, probably not. Why? It had the stuff Big News Stories are made of that qualify for front page and prime time coverage. You can read the story here.
Was it the body count? (Not enough) Age of the victims? (Not "children") Or because it had a happy ending that contradicts the media narrative about guns?
"Only a good guy with a gun can stop a bad guy with a gun" -- one of the newer  pro-gun bumper stickers -- has bounced off the critical thinking of the MSM and gun control crowd. This story proves it's not a cliche.  Maybe that's why it wasn't the lead story all last week. That's managing news to support a political agenda. And it's wrong.

Prepare to get creamed

I have been a Jim Bovard fan since he first visited the show shortly after the publication of Lost Rights in the mid-90's. Then came "Freedom In Chains" and a shelf full of others: Feeling Your Pain, Terrorism and Tyranny, The Bush Betrayal, Attention Deficit Democracy and just out, Public Policy Hooligan, an E-book romp through Jim's......."formative years"!

Always adding to his bona fides as a "bipartisan scourge", Jim blows the whistle on when and why you'll be paying out the udder for dairy products right after you finish off the egg nog -- in today's Wall Stree Journal. Check it out here.

POP QUIZ!

Following up on my LRC piece....

So why shouldn't teachers who are both willing and able be prohibited from carrying concealed?

You may think it's a horrifying idea to arm teachers.

Did you ever think to stop and ask why you believe that, and whether your viewpoint is rational -- or whether you're being manipulated by the media and politicians for their own ends at the expense of your children?
Let's analyze this.

Do you think it's wrong to have an armed guard in your bank? How about the guy delivering the money to your grocery store in the armored car? Should he have a gun? Does your local grocery store's cash drawer -- or that of your bank -- have a higher value than your child? If you believe that the armored car or bank should have someone carrying a gun to protect that cash drawer while your child's teacher should not, that is what you believe.

How about the President? Should he have dozens of people all around him, every minute of the day, all with guns? How about Obama's two daughters -- should they have an armed Secret Service detail at their school, with guns, every single day? Do Obama's children have more value than yours? If you believe his children should have someone with a gun available to protect them but your child's teacher should be barred by law from carrying concealed and thus able to serve as a last line of defense for your child, that is what you believe.

How important are your children? More important than a drawer full of money? As important as President Obama's daughters?
If you answered in the affirmative to both you do not want to ban guns -- you want the "Gun Free School" law repealed now and you want all teachers, administrators and staff who are willing and able to carry concealed firearms in the unlikely but possible case that a bad guy may try to murder your children.

Tell me again...

...how Diane Feinstein's wet dream legislation - or any other anti-gun laws - will deal with this under-reported reality?

Thought for the day:
"There is innocent ignorance and there is invincible, dogmatic and self-righteous ignorance. Every tragic mass shooting seems to bring out examples of both among gun control advocates." Tom Sowell

What can you say?

Another Christmas present from Congress. This should be part of the obit for our beloved two-party system of freedom-loving, Constitution-respecting congressmen and senators.

But then there is this unexpected goodie hiding under the tree - from the incomparable Claire Wolfe. If there is a better writer out there, I haven't discovered him/her yet.

LOOK! Paul Harvey's back!!

Gun Control FACTS

Are you considering backing gun control laws? Do you think that because you may not own a gun, the rights guaranteed by the Second Amendment don't matter?
CONSIDER; In 1929 the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, approximately 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915-1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, 13 million Jews, gypsies, homosexuals, the mentally ill, and others, who were unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million "educated" people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
That places total victims who lost their lives because of gun control at approximately 56 million in the last century. Since we should learn from the mistakes of history, the next time someone talks in favor of gun control, find out which group of citizens they wish to have exterminated.
It has now been 12 months since gun owners in Australia were forced to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed, a program costing the government more than $500 million dollars. The results Australia-wide; Homicides are up 3.2% Assaults are up 8 % Armed robberies are up 44% In that countries' state of Victoria, homicides with firearms are up 300%. Over the previous 25 years, figures show a steady decrease in armed robberies and Australian politicians are on the spot and at a loss to explain how no improvement in "safety" has been observed after such monumental effort and expense was successfully expended in "ridding society of guns."
It's time to state it plainly; Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws only affect the law-abiding citizens. Take action before it's too late, write or call your delegation.
OPINION
Paul Harvey's comment after Columbine: How can we blame it all on guns? For the life of me, I can't understand what could have gone wrong in Littleton, CO. If only the parents had kept their children away from the guns, we wouldn't have had such a tragedy.
Yeah, it must have been the guns. It couldn't have been because half our children are being raised in broken homes. It couldn't have been because our children get to spend an average of 30 seconds in meaningful conversation with their parents each day. After all, we give our children quality time.
It couldn't have been because we treat our children as pets and our pets as children.
It couldn't have been because we place our children in day care centers where they learn their socialization skills among their peers under the law of the jungle while employees who have no vested interest in the children look on and make sure that no blood is spilled.
It couldn't have been because we allow our children to watch, on the average, seven hours of television a day filled with the glorification of sex and violence that isn't fit for adult consumption.
It couldn't have been because we allow our children to enter into virtual worlds in which, to win the game, one must kill as many opponents as possible in the most sadistic way possible.
It couldn't have been because we have sterilized and contracepted our families down to sizes so small that the children we do have are so spoiled with material things that they come to equate the receiving of the material with love.
It couldn't have been because our children, who historically have been seen as a blessing from God, are now being viewed as either a mistake created when contraception fails or inconveniences that parents try to raise in their spare time.
It couldn't have been because we give two-year prison sentences to teenagers who kill their newborns.
It couldn't have been because our school systems teach the children that they are nothing but glorified apes who have evolutionized out of some primordial soup of mud by teaching evolution as fact and by handing out condoms as if they were candy.
It couldn't have been because we teach our children that there are no laws of morality that transcend us, that everything is relative and that actions don't have consequences. What the heck, the president gets away with it.
Nah, it must have been the guns.
-Paul Harvey

Before Newtown....

...there were these stories. Before anti-gun hysteria completely engulfs the "national debate", this review would be helpful and informative if not ignored and forgotten.
Feinstein, Schumer, Bloomberg and all demanding new "gun control" laws must demonstrate unequivocally how the Newtown tragedy would have been prevented had those new laws been in force.

Ever notice how Politicians never explain how more laws will make criminals obey them?

Q&A

AP Reporting Brilliance:

"Among the questions: Why did his mother, a well-to-do suburban divorcee , keep a cache of high-power weapons in the house? What experience did Lanza have with those guns? And, above all, what set him on a path to go classroom-by-classroom, massacring 6- and 7-year-olds?"

Some answers:
"Why did his mother, a well-to-do suburban divorcee , keep a cache of high-power weapons in the house?"
Other than add irrelevance to the ignorance, what possible difference could the answer make? Cache? They were legally owned, legally purchased. What part of "reporting" is it to question the legal activities of an innocent citizen - other than, in this case, to further prejudice the alleged mind of another unthinking simpleton?

What experience did Lanza have with those guns?
Stupid Question #2. What difference, what understanding, what relevance could the answer provide - unless the so-called reporter is looking for someone to blame? Had the murderer been "trained" thru NRA courses, then we've found the Bad Guy! Had the perp belonged to a "Club", the members would be "gun nuts"  culpable for not "recognizing the warning signs". How much "training" do you blithering AP "reporters" think it takes to shoot children point blank while trapped in a classroom?

And, above all, what set him on a path to go classroom-by-classroom, massacring 6- and 7-year-olds?
MSM morons "reporting" this unspeakable tragedy have yet to pursue the most obvious questions: Since  the murderer has been id'd by brother and others of having a "personality disorders", why haven't they identified and questioned his doctor? With previous mass murderers from the same demographic, we have ultimately, very quietly and dismissively learned at some point, these killers were on drugs. Not pot. Not coke. Not meth. But Ritalin, Prozac,Luvox, Zoloft ,Anafrani. You know, the stuff doctors prescribe to keep those noisy, rambunctious little boys from being little boys and disrupting the rest of the class.

Any Pulitzer Prize losing "journalists" bother to investigate that? Or is "Bushmaster", "Glock" and "Sig" sexier and more in harmony with agenda they'd rather push?

And now, a message of comfort from our President...

Directions to the next Newtown

Let me tell you a story. The day after Columbine, I was interviewed for the Tom Brokaw news program. The reporter had been assigned a theory and was seeking sound bites to support it. "Wouldn't you say," she asked, "that killings like this are influenced by violent movies?" No, I said, I wouldn't say that. "But what about 'Basketball Diaries'?" she asked. "Doesn't that have a scene of a boy walking into a school with a machine gun?" The obscure 1995 Leonardo Di Caprio movie did indeed have a brief fantasy scene of that nature, I said, but the movie failed at the box office (it grossed only $2.5 million), and it's unlikely the Columbine killers saw it.
The reporter looked disappointed, so I offered her my theory. "Events like this," I said, "if they are influenced by anything, are influenced by news programs like your own. When an unbalanced kid walks into a school and starts shooting, it becomes a major media event. Cable news drops ordinary programming and goes around the clock with it. The story is assigned a logo and a theme song; these two kids were packaged as the Trench Coat Mafia. The message is clear to other disturbed kids around the country: If I shoot up my school, I can be famous. The TV will talk about nothing else but me. Experts will try to figure out what I was thinking. The kids and teachers at school will see they shouldn't have messed with me. I'll go out in a blaze of glory."
In short, I said, events like Columbine are influenced far less by violent movies than by CNN, the NBC Nightly News and all the other news media, who glorify the killers in the guise of "explaining" them. I commended the policy at the Sun-Times, where our editor said the paper would no longer feature school killings on Page 1. The reporter thanked me and turned off the camera. Of course the interview was never used. They found plenty of talking heads to condemn violent movies, and everybody was happy.

Unions: slugs and thugs

If it hasn't made it to your InBox, see for yourself right here.

For years, I talked about union slugs and thugs who ran Toledo into a slum, along with their bought-and-paid-for elected scum. The Stupid Paper was and is in bed with slug "leadership" and blind eye TV "News" depts. remain unable or just not interested in getting the stories. Michigan is telling it for them: This is what organized labor looks like. This is what Neanderthal thuggery looks like. This is what Freedom of Choice looks like just before you become a Right To Work state.

Congrats Michigan! I didn't think ya had it in you!  Now Ohio businesses have lots of choices where to move! Kasich and the Ohio Republicans wouldn't have enough balls to do this if they owned a bowling alley.

OMG! Can you believe THIS?!?!?

Today's lead headline and story from AP:

Poll shows support for raising taxes on the rich
December 06, 2012 3:12 AM EST
WASHINGTON (AP) — Americans prefer letting tax cuts expire for the country's top earners, as President Barack Obama insists, while support has declined for cutting government services to curb budget deficits, an Associated Press-GfK poll shows. Fewer than half the Republicans polled favor continuing the Bush-era tax cuts for the wealthy.
There's also a reluctance to trim Social Security, Medicare or defense programs, three of the biggest drivers of federal spending, the survey released Wednesday found. The results could strengthen Obama's hand in his fiscal cliff duel with Republicans, in which he wants to raise taxes on the rich and cut spending by less than the GOP wants.
As Obama and Republicans joust over ways to avoid tumbling over the cliff when the new year begins, the poll offers scant evidence that the public is willing to sacrifice much when it comes to specific cuts in the name of budget austerity.

OMG and WTF! Who would have ever - ever -  predicted - according to a poll,  a majority of Americans are okey-dokey with raising taxes on someone else to pay for their goodies from Santa Government? Hey Progressives - where is your vaunted "fairness" in stealing from Producers and giving to Moochers? Is that even moral? You do have morals, don't you? Or is this the "Revenge" you voted for?
Americans (and the rest of the world irrevocably coupled to our economic engine) should be more concerned about the Great Washington Debt Hole our "leaders" have dug for us than the phony "cliff" that's been flogged into distortion by the same elected criminal element who created it -- but AP would have readers believe their poll results - aka Stupidity On Parade - "strengthen[s] Obama's hand". Because there's nothing like a mob of morons to beat down an informed discussion of pragmatic solutions.
Despite the mountain of irrefutable facts Obama's Marxist wet dream will have -0- effect on "cliffs" or holes, guaranteeing insufficient funds to alter the course on the Road to National Bankruptcy, ensuring immediately  worse economic conditions, resulting in less Leviathan Chow to feed future obligations, political pimps and media whores (see also: AP above) continue the  symbiotic spin of mis-truths, half-truths and outright lies to oblivious Government School Products and the unemployed graduates of No Clue U, living in their parents' basement.  Meanwhile, the masses of Low-Information citizens and their Aggressively Ignorant neighbors, happily participate in producing embarrassing poll results above, blithely unaware and uncaring about the long term fate that will eventually smother them and their children's children.
"...  the public is willing to sacrifice much when it comes to specific cuts in the name of budget austerity." Really? Seriously? So "sacrifice includes the future of our children and grandchildren? Then, simply stated, supporting Obama is Child Abuse.

And I say that with all due respect.

Tell me again

NOT this morning's lead story:

WASHINGTON (AP) — It was a sneak attack, but not by the enemy they feared.
U.S. Army Capts. Joshua Lawrence and Drew Russell were inside a small command post on an Afghan army base, wrapping up a long day of coordinating the safe arrival of nearly 100 Afghan religious and tribal leaders for a peace conference at a nearby palace.
Darkness had fallen.
Some of their fellow soldiers had retired for the evening. Two stood guard.
All seemed well.
But as several soldiers sprawled on nearby cots, playing cards, the calm collapsed catastrophically at 9:27 p.m.
An exploding grenade shattered the stillness, followed in seconds by bursts of gunfire. Before any of the Americans could raise a hand to defend themselves, Lawrence was dead from a bullet to the head, and Russell was dying, shot three times in the back.
They were not killed by the Taliban, as the U.S.-led military coalition indicated the day after the Oct. 8, 2011, assault. Lawrence, 29, of Nashville, Tenn., and Russell, 25, of Scotts, Mich., were killed in what U.S. investigators later called a "calculated and coordinated" attack by Afghan soldiers entrusted to work alongside their U.S. partners.
This is the first published account of the attack and is based on internal Army records and interviews in the U.S. and Afghanistan.
For Russell's family, the anguish is still fresh. His father, Jim, said the loss was even harder to accept after learning from the Army's investigation report early this year that it was a supposed ally, not the Taliban, who killed his son.
"It wasn't like a battle, you know. He pretty much got ambushed," he said, pausing at length to settle his emotions. "That makes it difficult."

Tell me again how American soldiers are being killed in Afghanistan to "protect our rights". Tell me again how these two American deaths made you and your family more secure.Tell me again how squandering American blood and treasure in a land and on a people who want us dead, gone or both serves the cause of Freedom and Liberty anywhere. Hint: it doesn't. So tell me again exactly what it did accomplish.

Go ahead.

Hard Core Financial News from a Michigan friend in the business....

"Since the election is over, perhaps I can now sum up the thoughts of many proven economists (without being accused of being political) as follows: There is an extremely good chance that the increased costs of Obamacare, the layoffs caused by Obamacare, the shortening of the work week caused by Obamacare, and the regulations of Obamacare, are going to lead to an economic contraction. As well, the cutting of Defense spending, inherent in the Fiscal Cliff, will, unlike cuts in entitlement spending, result in real job losses.
In additon, the increased taxes on the wealthy, which have, without exception, resulted in LOWER revenues to the IRS as well as more layoffs, should also adversely affect the economy...at least for the next year or so.
Government 'stimulus', which has been used to keep union and government workers employed, may continue to mask the overall job losses in private industry, and therefore prevent us from reaching the 'official' definition of a recession----but most economists, including [t]hose from Goldman and Forbes, feel that we will approach a recession in 2013"

Invest wisely.

Weekend Report: Hey! Hey! It's The Monkees!

Back from Computercrashville with a Review of "An Evening with The Monkees" Concert (New Brunswick, NJ).

All the way back in August, I promised Cassie for her upcoming and highly anticipated birthdayChristamsNewYear'sSuperBowlanniversaryValentine'sDayGroundHogDay, I would secure, transport and accompany her to the Last Monkees Concert, New Brunswick, NJ (prior to the Real Big Really Last "The Monkees" Concert in NYC). Faithful and True to my word, Friday evening there I was: 20 rows away from Mike Nesmith, Peter Tork and Mickey Dolenz sitting next to the original President of the Official Northern New Jersey "The Monkees" Fan Club, Cassie Wilson. Ms. Wilson was attractively adorned sporting an Exclusive "Davy Jones Memorial" Pendant (imposing plastic heart with "Davy Jones" inscribed across it blinking bright red from her decollage). This signified a status of loyalty and devotion not found on anyone else in the Sold-Out SRO audience. Attendees weren't the only ones noticing. Noticing the former President, the 3 surviving performers also acknowledged from the stage, having been interviewed by Ms. Wilson at several times over the years. Ms. Wilson also enjoyed a brief conversation with the reclusive Mr. Nesmith concerning a certain pair of "sparkly boots" he wore for the occasion.

As a former DJ, I was only familiar with The Monkees signature hits but will use this quasi-public forum to admit the less-familiar (aka downright unknown) to me tunes they performed were quite good to the point of outstanding ( example:"You May Be The One").

I noted Ms. Wilson knew all the words of all the songs including the more obscure "deep album cuts" the too-young-to-know "critics" wrote about critically. Except for the occasional squeal and giggle, jump up, sit down and wave madly, Ms. Wilson was comparatively demure throughout the performance.
Mostly.

Preceded by a magnificent Italian dinner, a good great swell fantastic time was had by all. Well...at least the two of us!

In other news, look for a resumption of pithy comments, inconvenient observations and uncomfortable questions to be posted shortly. But first, back to Remedial Computer Restoration - or similar.

Hard core pointy headed....

From my libertarian perspective, Conservatives have always been a tad frustrating, if not downright disappointing. As a group, they applaud and profess all the fine points of limited governance, speak highly of human rights, Liberty, Freedom and individual responsibility. When prompted, they will extol the virtues of the Bill of Rights - especially #s 1, 2, 9 and 10. However, the 4th and 5th are problematic. Generally, that's due to the fact their most recent hero, Pres. G.W. Bush, hatched the Patriot Act which decimates 4 and 5, doesn't treat 1 or 2 very well and has morphed into a colossus fit for a tyrant most anywhere in the world. Except here in the Land of the so-called Free.

But the sticking point, regardless of logic, objectivity, historical precedent is always God. For a group so enthusiastic and yet sensitive about their religious beliefs, it would seem appropriate for the "separation of Church and State" rallying cry to apply equally to government and governance -- unless you're angling for some sort co-op theocracy. For those on the fringe, it is necessary to post the unnecessary disclaimer about not being against religion, church, God, etc. So there it is. My religious beliefs are mine; yours are yours. Hallelujah, brother! But bringing God into political discussions seems as unseemly for Him as it is for those who toss God/Jesus or any combination into serious political debate. If God has left it up to us to figure all this out, let's get on with it - without calling Him in like some playground bodyguard when the rhetoric gets rough. On the other palm, if God is just biding time before He comes in for the big Armageddon thingy, then why are we wasting our time getting over-heated about Prez -0-, economic cliffs, the never-ending non-debate about abortion, etc. It won't be much longer and we'll all be reaping our just reward, no?

An excellent example of what started this can be found over at my friend Monty Pelerin's excellent Economic Noise. You may have to hop around a bit to put things in chronological order. Or you can enjoy (?) my summary conclusion right here, right now:

Ken – thanks for the stab!

While we agree on the basics (proper function of government), I fail to see the absolutes placed at the margins.  While not a historian or anthropologist, the essentials of the 10 Commandments were found to be a part of societies not at all familiar with Christian dogma. Killing, stealing, etc., were and are pretty much no-no’s in every civilization.  If determining “right from wrong” is the sole purview of a Supreme Being, how do free moral agents make those distinctions without regular Divine communication? The likely answer is prayer and consultation with the Bible. But that still begs the question: how do agnostics/atheists’/non-Christians manage to make proper moral choices every day while simultaneously eschewing such direction? Does Morality require belief in a Supreme Being? Must all sentient beings attend Sunday School to learn God does not approve of stealing and murder without risk of becoming one of the FBI’s Most Wanted?

“Our standard to emulate is the Lord Jesus Christ.” Who is the “Our” to whom you refer? Americans? Baptists? People-Related-To-Ken? What if one doesn't accept Jesus Christ as their Lord? I understand the Hooray For Our Side – but isn't it presumptuous to categorically eliminate vast swaths of similarly constructed free moral agents who have learned a different history and set of rules that respect Jesus, yet see him mostly as an important historical figure who did good works?

“It IS, “too bad” for those who reject Christ. The Founders attempted to make it clear their plan for government would work only for a moral and religious people and that Liberty is possible only with a citizenry educated in the principles involved.” If, by principles, you mean Christian principles and it is those in which the citizenry must be educated, then the America envisioned by the Founding Dads would, of necessity, have to excluded Jews, Buddhists and any/all other religions that did not revere Christian principles. And yet, the First Amendment doesn't bother to make that distinction. Why do you suppose that is?

I have no argument with the tyrannical and self-implosive history of Democracy or the revulsion the Founders reserved for it. My questions are based on the soft hostility and even hypocrisy Christians and Christianity have shown Liberty and Freedom. Second on to life itself, our greatest freedom is the freedom to choose and come equipped with the necessity of individual responsibility. But even at that, Freedom to choose permits one to make choices that contradict Freedom itself – like enslaving oneself to a dogma or belief system that actually enslaves him. But that is also a matter of perception; one man’s freedom might be another man’s slavery.

It may be that “Throughout history when nations have rejected the Creator’s principles of life, they have been disciplined.”  It also may be that those nations were led by a crazed, greedy, power-hungry moron who got his jollies thinking he could rule the world. I doubt Stalin, Mao, Hitler, Pol Pot, Roosevelt, Truman and my former employer thought much about incurring God’s wrath doing such dastardly things. Maybe they didn’t go to Sunday School regularly. But if it is God doing the disciplining of nations, one wonders why He went along with the unspeakable torture and killing of innocents when He could have easily just snuffed the bad guys. And let’s not forget, some of those dudes were Lutherans, Baptists, Catholic, Russian Orthodox, ad nauseam who (allegedly) believed the same things you profess.

I always try (unsuccessfully most times) to add this caveat when I write: Next to Carrier pigeons and smoke signals in a hurricane, writing is the next poorest form of communication. It deprives the reader of the nuances present in the spoken word, not to mention the optional body language, facial expressions and tone of voice. That having been typed, please understand nothing written above is meant to instill anything other than Thought. No offense intended or implied.

Random thoughts

While I could never rival Tom Sowell - who occasionally publishes similarly titled columns - here are some interesting issues Tom might not be inclined to mention. Comment away!

Have retailers ruined Christmas? Or are our baser instincts turning us into crazed animals hunting cheap prices on the latest toys? How much responsibility do retailers have in creating problematic supply/demand situations? Is this like "hunting over bait"

How did the unnecessary slaughter of 4 Americans morph into a tawdry “sex scandal”?  Beyond media complicity and political malfeasance, who else should share responsibility? What bona fide reason might anyone have for believing the “investigation” will turn up anything damning or something similar will not happen again?  And again?

Do network football game announcers always favor the OTHER school?

Is it OK to lie to kids about “Santa Claus”? Or is it better to let kids know it’s all a fairy tale, part of the Holiday tradition – but it’s Mom and Dad, who loved them so much, they bought them these cool presents?

If talking/writing about “negative things” (economy, jobs, government, politics) is such a turn-off, how does one consider and confront serious problems facing us?

Of all the people ingesting Network News (from any source), how many are aware they are being deceived, manipulated and used?

My grandparent’s generation didn't like Sinatra. My parent’s generation didn't like Elvis or the Beatles. My generation doesn't like rap, hip-hop or the current state of pop/CHR. So is it just generational? Or does today’s music really suck??

Happy Bird Day!

Thanksgiving! What a concept! A time to pause and reflect on what stores will be opening early for Black Friday! To give thanks for higher limits on Visa, MasterBounce, And reflect on the horror stories sure to come out detailing fights, scuffles, shootings, deaths and other tragedies that will mark this holiday forever so when NEXT Thanksgiving comes, more cynics will remember what they were supposed to be thankful for THIS Thanksgiving. (Insert "heavy sigh" sfx here)

But for those of you fortunate to be surrounded with family and friends in your own Norman Rockwell portrait, good for you! Take lots of pictures. Next year, you'll need them to appreciate those holiday pounds you didn't get around to losing!! (I'm only serious!).

Happy Bird Day -- from a Prime Rib house!

Coming Attractions

Thanks again for all the kind words, articles, posts, comments regarding the recent distractions. Someone famous once said, "This, too, shall pass" -- and it will. Time and circumstance are funny that way.

So what's next? Thanks for asking.....

More regular blog installments. Something about which I've been remiss but now commit to providing. Focus will be through  the libertarian window as usual. If you subsequently have comments, questions, enlightenment, the Reply/Comments section will be fully operational.

The Book. This puppy has been in development since 1989. Tragically, two computer crashes, lightening and poor back-up systems, destroyed almost all of the "Early Scribblings". Since there was no way to recreate all of that stream-of-conscious-thought content, I simply started over, trying valiantly to remember what the hell happened?? Plans are to eventually "publish" all or most of the chapters here (audio version included). I'm really looking forward to this part. As close friends would attest, I have a boatload of really great TRUE stories! If you're remotely familiar with Radio, The Business, you will love it. Period.
If you're primarily a Listener, many secrets will be revealed! To quote the late Larry King, it will be "a fun read". (In fact, I don't thing Larry would like it much; he's in it!)

Finally, there are always Other Works in progress. Some big, some not so much -- but all damn interesting.
Trust me: the future here will be compelling, provocative, entertaining and fun. All the things real life should be.

Stand by for wacky action....

Words fail

Did we all live through the same election?

Letters to the NY Times (comments added)

cmak Omaha, NE
Thank heaven--and thank you Mr. President--so happy for us all!

(If "heaven" caused this, I am now officially an atheist. And whaddaya mean "all"? Do I look "happy"?)

Linda Palik McCann San Antonio, Texas
The Nation and the World have been gifted with Barack Obama as President for another term; a man of rare grace, humility, compassion and intellect. Advancing domestic and international stability will be imperative -- economically and politically. The next four years will be daunting, but President Obama is more than equal to the task. Needed legislation will be passed if the party of opposition joins the governance of the Republic in common cause and compromise. There is no other choice. Public policy must be crafted for the general good. Legislators must serve the country and not their party.

("gifted"? "...grace, humility, compassion, intellect"? Does "Benghazi" sound remotely familiar? Projectile vomiting may now begin. Please look away from your monitor)

Rogerhq, Sweden
This is great news for America and the entire world. Greetings from Europe, Yes we are celebrating as much as you do! *** FORWARD ***

(Pssst -- have you checked on the PIIGS lately?

Wyoming, Wyoming
HUUGGGGGE sigh of relief at the outcome.Pres. Obama's speech tonight was another reminder of how lucky we are to have this brilliant, steady man at the helm.As for the nonsense comments about this being the end of our country, it's that type of language that is turning people off from politics and degrading the quality of our civil discourse. We have serious problems ahead and we need to remember how to listen to each other with respect in order to solve them.

(As long as we only just listen to you, right?)

Finally....Who let this dude in?

This was the most important election of my lifetime. It was THE tipping point. We lost this nation tonight. We are no longer a proud nation, just a pathetic European wanna-be.... May God have mercy on us.. We have rejected everything that we once stood for. I grieve not for Obama's reelection but for the fact that I live in a country I no longer recognize and no longer admire. I grieve for the knowledge that millions of my so-called American neighbors willingly sacrificed our liberty to satisfy their own selfish greed. Those who brought about this travesty will suffer just as much as me and my family will, but that is no consolation. My only solace is that I can look my son in the face and tell him that I did what I could to prevent this tragedy....and tell him stories about the great nation we once were.

(Killjoy. Just when the Kool-Aide was tasting like Cabernet...)

We return you now to your favorite memories of what used to be -- or your nightmare of the future.

"Media malpractice": Suppression? Who US???

What a great line to describe the intentional obfuscation of facts committed by CBS News in editing out and withholding Obama's non-"terrorism" comments regarding the Benghazi attacks until "quietly" stuffing the edited piece on Sunday night. What will be "done" about  it? Nada. The FCC? Why not the EPA? USDA? FDIC?
If Obama wins, the issue dies. If Romney wins, the New Nice Guy will want to heal (heel?) America's wounds and move forwa -- umm -- move on.

Chicago Prepares!!

If you read nothing else before Tuesday....

...this recent post from guest and exemplary blogger, Monty Pelerin is imperative. Share with friends who may be otherwise disposed.

The Issue
It is difficult to adequately express the importance of this election without sounding overly political or alarmist. David Solway achieves such a balance in his description of what is at stake:
The United States of America is now something alarmingly close to what we might describe as the rogue regime of Obamerica. The “end,” in the acceptation of “purpose,” of this strange new nation appears to be the reversal or erasure of its Republican heritage and its replacement by what Barry Rubin calls a stealth-leftist anti-American substitute. The projected “end” of Obamerica would seem to be nothing less than the material end of America as we have known it throughout its storied history. Its free-market economy is currently in tatters, its competitive edge and productivity blunted by a meretricious “stimulus” and by redistributionist economics, its Triple A credit rating downgraded amid concerns about the government’s budget deficit and rising debt burden, and its unemployment numbers beyond acceptable. Racial and ethnic divisions have been exacerbated by the president’s incendiary rhetoric. Owing to Obama’s policies, America’s network of reliable alliances is in disarray as the program of appeasement and rapprochement with its adversaries grows ever more emphatic. At the same time the power and authority of the erstwhile “leader of the free world” has started demonstrably to wane. And if Obama has his way and is re-elected, he will enjoy, as he confided to former Russian President Dmitri Medvedev, even more “flexibility” to pursue his ends.
The looming choice for the U.S. on November 6 of this year is stark and unforgiving. The re-election of Barack Obama will mean the “end,” in its terminal sense, of the America of yore, of the constitutional republic on which the West has grudgingly depended for its defense and prosperity and whose citizens were once the envy of an ungrateful world. An unprecedented experiment in free market economics and individual liberty will have fallen victim to an unscrupulous agenda that intends its demise. Only the end of Obamerica can prevent the nation’s decline. History is about to be made — or unmade. A victory for Obamerica can come only at the expense of America itself, and a heretofore undefeated nation will go down to the first and greatest — and quite possibly lasting — defeat in the chronicle of its tenure.
This is what is at stake and what American voters will soon determine. Will it be Obamerica or will it be America? May they choose wisely.
The country is divided along several lines — racial, ethnic, income, cronies, etc. The most important, for purposes of understanding politics, is the dependents versus the productive. The Democrat Party has played the dependency game to its advantage. That is why, despite the worst economic and foreign policy conditions in over eighty years, this election is considered too close to call.
Fortunately Barack Obama is an incompetent ideologue or his election would be ensured. Hopefully he will be defeated and the closeness to the end of the American way of life will shock people back to their senses. Barack Obama is merely a symptom of a bigger problem. Elections were never intended to be life-changing events. From here forward, every election threatens to end the American way of life unless and until we can return to our Constitutional roots. Few politicians want to see that happen.
Unless government can be re-caged, we will always be one election away from disaster. Defeating Barack Obama only pushes the problem off one election. At some point the American people will choose wrong and their way of life will be gone. Democracy always destroys itself.

We return you now to our irregularly scheduled blogging...

The "fog of war" has an ugly clone: the fog of media. Maybe it's a good thing. Just as you know you have won the point on principle when your opponent can only launch ad homonyms, it's a guarantee something rotten is being hidden when the gaggle of mainstream media go with "stories" like this. Looks as if they've run out of bodies to throw under the bus. Or maybe they ran out of buses...
It's obvious the Administration, from White House to State to Defense, is stonewalling, parsing, obfuscating, innuendo, dodging and every other SOP to prevent the facts from coming being presented in any logical, cogent manner -- and the media is complicit; they couldn't care less. They successfully kept it from growing the strong legs it properly deserved.  The bodies under the bus have become the focus rather than the bodies of the 4 betrayed dead Americans in Benghazi.
Maybe the idea is to get us more concerned about the bus...

But credit FOX News for staying on top of the latest developments - including the debunking of the "careful CIA narrative" above.

Chilling

Not just the reality of the cliche: Obama lied; Americans died; the suffocating media apathy is appalling. The chill is from the growing testimony and evidence that the President, Sec.State, Sec Def, Press Sec and other myrmidons have lied and continue to lie to protect their political viability.

Occasional guest Monty Pelerin posts the latest with links to a CIA time-line interview detailing the events of the attack.

"CBA"??? Inconvenient Details on Benghazi

Benghazi: the zombie scandal that won't (and shouldn't) die...despite media efforts to render it yesterday's news.

Writer/Reporter Matt Bracken posts solid facts, explicit details - separates speculation - and offers irrefutable conclusions debunking the Obama Administration mis-truths, half-truths and outright lies.              Some of the terminology may bog you down; ask a soldier to translate.

Lie Back and Think of America?

Former show guest Mark Steyn and why losing your virginity is like voting for Obama may be bad "political hygiene".

Vaca: Over - Return to your assumed position

Why don't we have 50 weeks of vacation and work 2? You know -- like Greece?

The Benghazi scandal could - and should - blow any time now that the True Facts are known. They're just not known by everyone.

Bestselling author ("The Amateur") and totally credible journalist (Newsweek, NYT Magazine), Ed Klein, says Hillary has Obama's re-election in the palm of her hand because....

As occasional guest Monty Pelerin writes:

"Ah, the wonderful underworld of politics! For politicians, it doesn't matter what is good for the country. All that matters is how they can personally benefit from handling or demagoging an issue." Ditto the Lame Stream Press, MP. I interviewed Ed Klein when "The "Amateur" was released. He is not shy about stating the facts. With credentials of a seasoned and credible journalist, his reporting on this story alone should be more than sufficient for his former colleagues to ask the question of any Democrat in/out of office. Relentlessly. Let's see if the dogs bark this time.

One question in the Clinton strategy:: How does the revelation of complicity in a cover-up count as a qualification to become President?

Will THIS change your vote?

I've had the pleasure of interviewing Bill a few times. He and his colleagues are putting out some of the best  on-point, thought-provoking written and video material available. His analysis and commentary here is the most compelling and irrefutable I have seen to date.

The lesser of two evils is still lesser -- and rational. It may be "wrong" on principle, but can it be worse in fact? It just may buy the Republic enough time to organize the desperately needed Alternative.

A Little Help From My Friends

Here's some light reading for those who enjoy being informed. Hopefully, that means YOU!

From my occasional guest and friend, Monty Pelerin --

What is going on inside the Administration is the stuff of soap operas. A dysfunctional family tries to hide its incompetence from the rest of the world while individual members jockey to survive.
The personal and institutional interplay between the various entities is fascinating. Everyone is running away from responsibility, especially the higher-ups. Others, sensing they are being groomed for an under-the-bus ending, are beginning to push back in an effort to save their jobs and reputations. In short, the dynamics of the situation is one of an every man and woman for him/herself.
The Ulsterman Report provides information regarding the timeline of events and the characters involved. Some of it is hard data and some of it appears to be less so, although plausible. The language is harsh, so if four-letter words bother you do not read it.

From yesterday's guest Judge Andrew Napolitano, his take on the Libya scandal embargoed from the show. The pod cast on what we were able to discuss is right here.

Uh-Oh! Are YOU on "the Red List"? Put another way: whaddaya think about "guilty until proven innocent"? Work for you?

Want to get off that racist-poverty Guilt Trip? Sure ya do! And here's my friend Dr. Walter E. Willams to help you.

I don't know why I'm posting this link. Nobody cares about the Government, FBI, local PD listening in on your cell phone conversations...reading/storing your email for future reference..."borrowing" your GPS data....checking your "social contacts". You have your guaranteed-in-the-Constitution Right to Privacy, right? Right? So don't click on that link. These aren't the droids you're looking for. There is nothing to see there....

VP Debate: We're #2! (so to speak)

The only real job the VP has is to get up every morning and say, "So! How's the President?"

Nevertheless, those who eschew the NFL's MNF could still have loads of fun watching the One and Lonely Vice-Presidential Debate, featuring Joe "The Joker" Biden  and Paul "The Wonk" Ryan .

I dunno about you....but here's what I saw...

Note to the SpellChecker Nazis, Grammar Nannies and the Humor Challenged Gang: I gave Joe "Bidden" the extra D for piss-poor performance. See? Isn't that a knee-slapper!? Now you don't have to write some snarky note about "spelling". Think how much time  that adds to your weak end!

Dots - Can You Connect Them?

Start here:

Remember the OJ Trial? Lots of circumstantial evidence, right? Here is everything you always knew about Obama, his wife, Jarrett, Axlerod, all of the Chicago gang of criminals put together in riveting form. The network of evil is unbelievable! Can It All Be Coincidence? By Don Fredrick
As I noted in the introduction to my book, The Obama Timeline, a jury at a murder trial will often find the accumulated circumstantial evidence so overwhelming that a guilty verdict is obvious—even though there may be no witness to the crime. “The jurors in the Scott Peterson trial believed the collection of evidence more than they believed Scott Peterson. Among other things, the jury thought that being arrested with $15,000 in cash, recently-dyed hair, a newly-grown goatee, four cell phones, camping equipment, a map to a new girlfriend’s house, a gun, and his brother’s driver’s license certainly did not paint a picture of a grieving husband who had nothing to do with his pregnant wife’s disappearance and murder.”

In the four years I have been gathering information about—and evidence against—Barack Hussein Obama, I have encountered hundreds of coincidences that strike me as amazing. None of those coincidences, by themselves, may mean much. But taken as a whole it is almost impossible to believe they were all the result of chance.

Consider the Obama-related coincidences:

Obama just happened to know 60s far-left radical revolutionary William Ayers, whose father just happened to be Thomas Ayers, who just happened to be a close friend of Obama’s communist mentor Frank Marshall Davis, who just happened to work at the communist-sympathizing Chicago Defender with Vernon Jarrett, who just happened to later become the father-in-law of Iranian-born leftist Valerie Jarrett, who Obama just happened to choose as his closest White House adviser  and who just happened to have been CEO of Habitat Company, which just happened to manage public housing in Chicago, which just happened to get millions of dollars from the Illinois state legislature, and which just happened not to properly maintain the housing—which eventually just happened to require demolition.

Valerie Jarrett also just happened to work for the city of Chicago, and just happened to hire Michelle LaVaughan Robinson (later Obama), who just happened to have worked at the Sidley Austin law firm, where former fugitive from the FBI Bernadine Dohrn also just happened to work, and where Barack Obama just happened to get a summer job.

Bernadine Dohrn just happened to be married to William Ayers, with whom she just happened to have hidden from the FBI at a San Francisco marina, along with Donald Warden, who just happened to change his name to Khalid al-Mansour, and Warden/al-Mansour just happened to be a mentor of Black Panther Party founders Huey Newton and Bobby Seale and a close associate of Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, and al-Mansour just happened to be financial adviser to a Saudi Prince, who just happened to donate cash to Harvard, for which Obama just happened to get a critical letter of recommendation from Percy Sutton, who just happened to have been the attorney for Malcolm X, who just happened to know Kenyan politician Tom Mboya, who just happened to be a close friend of Barack Hussein Obama, Sr., who just happened to meet Malcolm X when he traveled to Kenya.

Obama, Sr. just happened to have his education at the University of Hawaii paid for by the Laubach Literacy Institute, which just happened to have been supported by Elizabeth Mooney Kirk, who just happened to be a friend of Malcolm X, who just happened to have been associated with the Nation of Islam, which was later headed by Louis Farrakhan, who just happens to live very close to Obama’s Chicago mansion, which also just happens to be located very close to the residence of William Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn, who just happen to have been occasional baby-sitters for Malia and Natasha Obama, whose parents just happen not to mind exposing their daughters to bomb-making communists.

After attending Occidental College and Columbia University, where he just happened to have foreign Muslim roommates, Obama moved to Chicago to work for the Industrial Areas Foundation, an organization that just happened to have been founded by Marxist and radical agitator Saul “the Red” Alinsky, author of Rules for Radicals, who just happened to be the topic of Hillary Rodham Clinton’s thesis at Wellesley College, and Obama’s $25,000 salary at IAF just happened to be funded by a grant from the Woods Fund, which was founded by the Woods family, whose Sahara Coal company just happened to provide coal to Commonwealth Edison, whose CEO just happened to be Thomas Ayers, whose son William Ayers just happened to serve on the board of the Woods Fund, along with Obama.

Obama also worked on voter registration drives in Chicago in the 1980s and just happened to work with leftist political groups like the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) and Socialist International (SI), through which Obama met Carl Davidson, who just happened to travel to Cuba during the Vietnam War to sabotage the U.S. war effort, and who just happened to be a former member of the SDS and a member of the Committees of Correspondence for Democracy and Socialism, which just happened to sponsor a 2002 anti-war rally at which Obama spoke, and which just happened to have been organized by Marilyn Katz, a former SDS activist and later public relations consultant who just happened to be a long-time friend of Obama’s political hatchet man, David Axelrod.

Obama joined Trinity United Church of Christ (TUCC), whose pastor was Reverend Jeremiah Wright, a fiery orator who just happened to preach Marxism and Black Liberation Theology and who delivered anti-white, anti-Jew, and anti-American sermons, which Obama just happened never to hear because he just happened to miss church only on the days when Wright was at his “most enthusiastic,” and Obama just happened never to notice that Oprah Winfrey left the church because it was too radical, and just happened never to notice that the church gave the vile anti-Semitic Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan a lifetime achievement award.

Although no one had ever heard of him at the time, Obama just happened to receive an impossible-to-believe $125,000 advance to write a book about race relations, which he just happened to fail to write while using the cash to vacation in Bali with his wife Michelle, and despite his record of non-writing he just happened to receive a second advance, for $40,000, from another publisher, and he eventually completed a manuscript called Dreams From My Father, which just happened to strongly reflect the writing style of William Ayers, who just happened to trample on an American flag for the cover photograph of the popular Chicago magazine, which Obama just happened never to see even though it appeared on newsstands throughout the city.

Obama was hired by the law firm Miner, Banhill and Galland, which just happened to specialize in negotiating state government contracts to develop low-income housing, and which just happened to deal with now-imprisoned Tony Rezko and his firm Rezar, and with slumlord Valerie Jarrett, and the law firm’s Judson Miner just happened to have been a classmate of Bernadine Dohrn, wife of William Ayers.

In 1994 Obama represented ACORN and another plaintiff in a lawsuit against Citibank for denying mortgages to blacks (Buycks-Roberson v. Citibank Federal Savings Bank), and the lawsuit just happened to result in banks being blackmailed into approving subprime loans for poor credit risks, a trend which just happened to spread nationwide, and which just happened to lead to the collapse of the housing bubble, which just happened to help Obama defeat John McCain in the 2008 presidential election.

In 1996 Obama ran for the Illinois State Senate and joined the “New Party,” which just happened to promote Marxism, and Obama was supported by Dr. Quentin Yong, a socialist who just happened to support a government takeover of the health care system.

In late 1999 Obama purportedly engaged in homosexual activities and cocaine-snorting in the back of a limousine with a man named Larry Sinclair, who claims he was contacted in late 2007 by Donald Young, who just happened to be the gay choir director of Obama’s Chicago church and who shared information with Sinclair about Obama, and Young just happened to be murdered on December 23, 2007, just weeks after Larry Bland, another gay member of the church, just happened to be murdered, and both murders just happened to have never been solved. In 2008 Sinclair held a press conference to discuss his claims, and just happened to be arrested immediately after the event, based on a warrant issued by Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden, who just happens to be the son of Joe Biden.

In 2003 Obama and his wife attended a dinner in honor of Rashid Khalidi, who just happened to be a former PLO operative, harsh critic of Israel, and advocate of Palestinian rights, and who Obama claims he does not know, even though the Obamas just happened to have dined more than once at the home of Khalidi and his wife, Mona, and just happened to have used them as occasional baby-sitters. Obama reportedly praised Khalidi at the decidedly anti-Semitic event, which William Ayers just happened to also attend, and the event Obama pretends he never attended was sponsored by the Arab American Action Network, to which Obama just happened to have funneled cash while serving on the board of the Woods Fund with William Ayers, and one speaker at the dinner remarked that if Palestinians cannot secure a return of their land, Israel “will never see a day of peace,” and entertainment at the dinner included a Muslim children’s dance whose performances just happened to include simulated beheadings with fake swords, and stomping on American, Israeli, and British flags, and Obama allegedly told the audience that “Israel has no God-given right to occupy Palestine” and there has been “genocide against the Palestinian people by (the) Israelis,” and the Los Angeles Times has a videotape of the event but just happens to refuse to make it public.

In the 2004 Illinois Democrat primary race for the U.S. Senate, front-runner Blair Hull just happened to be forced out of the race after David Axelrod just happened to manage to get Hull’s sealed divorce records unsealed, which just happened to enable Obama to win the primary, so he could face popular Republican Jack Ryan, whose sealed child custody records from his divorce just happened to become unsealed, forcing Ryan to withdraw from the race, which just happened to enable the unqualified Obama to waltz into the U.S. Senate, where, after a mere 143 days of work, he just happened to decide he was qualified to run for President of the United States.

Obama just happened to save $300,000 on the purchase of a $1.65 million Chicago mansion for which he deposited only $1,000 in earnest money, while the seller’s adjacent empty lot which was appraised at no more than $500,000 just happened to be sold at the inflated price of $625,000 to Rita Rezko, who just happened to earn only $37,000 per year working for Cook County government, and who just happened to be married to Tony Rezko, who just happened to be Obama’s main money man for his political campaigns, and who only days before the Obama mansion purchase just happened to obtain a $3.5 million loan from wealthy Iraqi Nadhmi Auchi, who just happened to have been kicked out of Iraq, and who just happened to have been convicted of corruption charges in France, and who just happened to ask Rezko to ask then-U.S. Senator Obama to help him obtain a visa to travel to the United States.

Rita Rezko just happened to borrow the money for the $625,000 empty lot from the Mutual Bank of Harvey, which just happened to be run by Tony Rezko’s pal Amrish Mahajan, whose wife Anita just happened to have been charged with fraudulently receiving $2 million in Illinois taxpayer dollars for drug tests never performed by her company, K. K. Bio-Science, which just happened to have a no-bid contract with the state, and whose computers just happened to disappear right before investigators arrived to take them away for evidence.

Obama just happened to obtain a $1.32 million mortgage for his mansion even though the payments of $8,000 per month (plus at least $1,500 per month in property taxes) exceeded 50 percent of his $162,100 U.S Senate salary income, and even though Michelle Obama was claiming that she and her husband were still paying off substantial student loans and were struggling to pay for piano lessons for their daughters, one of whom just happens to look remarkably like one of the daughters of Malcolm X.

Obama just happened to obtain his mansion mortgage from Northern Trust Bank, whose Board of Directors just happened to include Susan Crown, who just happened to be part of the wealthy Crown family, which just happened to donate to Obama’s campaigns, and which just happened to have ownership in defense contractor General Dynamics Corporation, and the Crown family just happened to sit on the board of energy company Exelon, formerly known as Commonwealth Edison, which just happened to have had Thomas Ayers as its CEO, and the Crown family also owned the Maytag appliance company, which just happened to move its operations to Mexico, after its employees just happened to donate to Obama’s campaign, after he just happened to pledge that he would keep their jobs in Galesburg, Illinois.

In June 2005, just months after Obama became a U.S. Senator, Michelle Obama just happened to be named a “non-executive director” of the board of Tree House Foods, a supplier of Wal-Mart, for a salary of $51,200 in 2005 and $101,083 in 2006, and she just happened to be given 7,500 Tree House stock options, worth approximately $72,375, even though she just happened to know nothing about the private sector or running a business.

In 2006 Obama pushed for a $1 million earmark for the University of Chicago, and his wife Michelle just happened to be promoted to Vice-President of Community and External Affairs for the hospitals with a salary increase from $121,900 to $316,962, and she just happened to receive public relations help from Obama’s political strategist David Axelrod, whose mother just happened to write for a communist newspaper.

In 2006 Sarah P. Herlihy, an associate of the Chicago law firm of Kirkland and Ellis, whose employees later contributed $87,722 to Obama’s presidential campaign, and whose partner Bruce I. Ettleson just happened to be a member of Obama’s campaign finance committee, just happened to write a paper calling for the elimination of the “natural born citizen” requirement in the U.S. Constitution.

Obama just happened to visit Kenya in 2006 to support his cousin, Raila Odinga, a Muslim socialist candidate for president, who just happened to have ties to both al-Qaeda and Libya’s Muammar Qaddafi, and who just happened to have been educated in communist East Germany, and who just happened to name his son Fidel, and who just happened to plan on establishing Shari’ah Muslim law in Kenya, and whose activities prompted the Kenyan government to lodge an official protest of Obama’s passport abuse and misconduct, and Obama’s actions just happened to have been denounced by the U.S. State Department as being in direct opposition to U.S. National Security, and after Odinga, for whom Obama just happened to have raised $950,000, lost the election, his Muslim followers just happened to burn Christian women and children alive in a church where they had sought refuge.

In 2006 Obama endorsed Alexi Giannoulias in his race for Illinois State Treasurer and stated that he is “…one of the most outstanding young men I could ever hope to meet”—even though Giannoulias just happened to be only 29 years old and even though his family’s Broadway Bank just happened to finance Chicago crime figures like Michael “Jaws” Giorango, a Chicago thug with convictions for bookmaking and promoting prostitution, and even though virtually all of Chicago’s Democrat politicians were keeping their distance from Giannoulias, whose reputation was so questionable he even failed to get the endorsement of the Chicago Democrat Party—which just happens to almost never be concerned about questionable reputations.

Obama’s mother, Stanley Ann Dunham, once worked for the Ford Foundation’s Asia program, which just happened to be run by Peter Geithner, who just happened to be the father of Timothy Geithner, who just happened to neglect to pay Social Security taxes on much of his income, which just happened to somehow qualify him to be Obama’s Treasury Secretary.

During the 2008 campaign Obama’s passport records just happened to have been illegally searched by an employee of a firm headed by John O. Brennan, and Lt. Quarles Harris, Jr., who was cooperating with federal investigators in connection with the incident, just happened to be found with a bullet in his head, and the murder just happened never to be solved, and Obama later just happened to make Brennan his terrorism and intelligence advisor.

On election night in 2008 in Chicago’s Grant Park, Obama just happened to wear a black suit and a red tie, and his older daughter just happened to wear a red dress, and his younger daughter just happened to wear a stark black dress, and his wife Michelle just happened to wear an arguably unattractive black dress that appeared to have a giant red X design, which just happened to prompt some to wonder if their clothing just happened to denote black power, communism, and Malcolm X, and at the very least prompted others to wonder why anyone would have his daughter wear a jet-black dress for a celebratory occasion—or where one could even just happen to find a store that sells black dresses for little girls.

From election night forward there are hundreds of other “just happeneds,” not the least of which is the long-form birth certificate released by Obama in April 2011 which just happened to consist of multiple image layers, including various objects which can be separated and rotated with computer software—which just happens to be impossible if a birth certificate is merely scanned and not computer-constructed by a forger.

I could go on… but you get the idea.

P.S. If Obama just happens to win reelection on November 6, remember that hyperinflation just happens to be the inescapable consequence of printing trillions of dollars to cover massive government deficits.
