Can Freedom Exist Without Free Speech?

 

Consider the title of Jim Bovard’s latest piece for the Brownstone Institute, “Is Free Speech a Relic In American?”.

Let’s take a look.

 Are we allowed to openly talk about who controls our media?

Are we allowed to openly talk about who controls our politicians?

Are we allowed to openly talk about who controls our courts?

Are we allowed to openly talk about who controls our colleges?

Are we allowed to openly talk about who controls Hollywood?

Are we allowed to openly talk about who controls our advertising agencies?

Are we allowed to openly talk about who controls the Federal Reserve System?

Are we allowed to openly talk about who controls all of our financial institutions?

There’s more but, I suspect most everyone reading this can noodle out the answer: freedom of speech has indeed become a "relic" in our modern times.

We're not allowed to talk openly about the obvious unless we want to be ostracized, fired or killed.

As Bovard states: “’Government = truth’ is the premise for the Biden censorship regime” --  and the primary goal of the Deep State caucus.

The Government has long realized “He who controls the media, controls the mind.” Norm Chomsky. Consider the source.

They just don't want us speaking up anymore. Being critical of the regime is a crime. If our voice had no power, they wouldn’t try to silence us.

Donald Trump’s picture is in the X-ring of the bulls-eye in Biden’s weaponized DOJ.

Most all of Trump’s indictments come down to him believing the election was fraudulent, and speaking about it. Any attempt to factually dissect the basis for the others results in an intellectual backlash of ignorance, jaded opinions, mis-information, political bias and outright lies. Members of the Uniparty fear him for what he will do to their continued exercise of unconstitutional power and generating stupendous income outside of legal compensation. For the few remaining, their failure to speak up can be traced to their innate altruistic tendencies, but mostly the fear of losing re-election.

When MSM and Government weaponize blatant lies with an agenda hiding behind the 1st Amendment; when there is no willingness to perform due diligence on their reporting “facts”; when the intent is to target a large swath of the public, considering them enemies instead of fellow citizens, then the Constitution transforms into a suicide pact.

Recent examples: Talking over the Truth and “Spies In Your Coffee Shop” and “NDAA and Sect 702 Passed; 4^th Amendment Looses”.

With the loss of Free Speech, America is no longer a sovereign country, but a public assembly manipulated by lies, waiting our turn to die. Who would deny free speech forms the bedrock of a free and just society? When citizens recognize free speech has become just a quaint “American relic”, trust in any vestige of integrity in a duly elected government will evaporate – in fact, is evaporating - with the realization our rulers have achieved ‘Impunity Democracy’, from self-governance to absolute dictatorship.
